Departement of Pediatrics has 98 hospital beds,
2400 patients are hospitalized yearly.
Modern methods and procedures are used in patient evaluation: ultrasound,
EEG, muscle and skin biopsy, modern diagnostic tests in endocrinology,
allergology and immunology.
Therapeutic treating includs substitution of hormones (for example
growth hormone), new antiepileptics, nebulisers in treating respiratory
diseases. Neoplasms are treated according to contemporary protocols and
standards of treatment.Great attention and effort is given to education
of patients and families of diabetics, diet and life style of patients
with anorexia nervosa and obesity, life with hipertension and allergic
disorders.
We also have specialized outpatient offices where 18 000 paitents are
examined and treated yearly.
Departement is also authorised for lectures and practice for students
of School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, postgraduate students and pupils
of Medical high school.
Renovation of the Departement is recently finished which will certainly
make working and treating conditions as well as hospital comfort better.
