Preparations for extracorporeal lithotripsy (ESWL) are underway.
Surgery ward has three modern surgical theatres equipped for the most complicated operations, one of them is reserved for endoscopy. Patients are also seen at the outpatient clinic and Centre for prostate diseases.
Open surgery of the urethra, urinary derivation in bladder carcinoma and radical surgery in other malignant diseases of urotract (kidney, prostate, testis, genitals) have been carried out for a long period of time at the Department of urology.

Paediatric urology covers a wide range of procedures.
This department has great experience in surgical and endoscopic (percutaneous) treatment of urolithiasis. Once the device for extracorporeal lithotripsy is purchased urolithiasis will be treated here completely.
We also have great results with implantation of artificial sphincter in patients suffering from urinary incontinence.
